Year 4 - Hooke Court

Year 4 had an amazing time on their residential trip to Hooke Court in Dorset to become immersed in all things Roman.

During the action packed three days, the children visited a Roman town house in Dorchester, climbed Maiden Castle, successfully completed Roman Soldier training - including how to march, attack and dress like a soldier. They cooked their own lunch using Roman recipes, wrote their names, designed and made mosaics, crafted exquisite jewellery, and explored the marvels of Roman engineering from aqueducts to onegars.
