Yr 6 Football v Cleves - 4.11.16

In the first ten minutes it was Cleves who were exerting the pressure.  Cleves were clming close but just couldn't get the ball in the net, thanks to our great keeper, Joseph, pulling off some great saves. Daniel came on as a sub which turned out to be great because he scored a free kick from inside our own half.

Soon after Cleves levelled with a smashing shot which hit the bar and went in.  But they were only level for a minute because Adam found himself in a lot of space in the wide area and put in a floating cross for Finlay to come in and score.

Cleves started the second half well and made a couple of good chances, one just trickling past the post.  At times in the second half Cardinal Newman were hanging on a bit.  We had chances but the keeper made a a good save to deny Adam.  Later in the match Ben had a shot which the keeper parried only for Ben to score from the rebound.

Cardinal Newman played very well and deserved the win.
