Princess Alice Hospice Summer Fete and Dog show

After a three-year break we're excited to announce that our Summer Fete and Dog Show is back!, a much loved, much missed event for our local community and, of course, our furry friends!

The fete takes place at Princess Alice Hospice, West End Lane, Esher, KT10 8NA on Sunday 3 July, from 11am - 3pm and there’ll be something for everyone: food and drinks, our renowned dog show, entertainment, Bollywood dancing, live music, stalls, displays and lots more besides!

Enter our pawsome Dog Show!

We have a range of categories for dogs to enter this year – and don’t worry, if you or your dog can’t make the date, your furry friend can still be entered into our online virtual Dog Show on Facebook. Why not enter your dog into our online event and for the show on the day, for more chances of being crowned the winning woofer?

Enter our Dog Show through our website - https://www.pah.org.uk/events/summer-fete-dog-show/ Advance online registration is £3 per category or £4 if you register on the day (entry will be limited on the day so to avoid disappointment please register online if you can). Thank you.

Whizz Kids earlier opening hours

We will be trialling an earlier session in the Breakfast Club for the next half-term starting on Tuesday 7th June to accommodate all the current children attending the Club. The Club will open at the new time of 7.30 am at a cost of £7.50 per session (instead of £5.50). Please contact Whizz Kids if you wish to book the earlier sessions.

eSafety and Safeguarding

Reminder: Keeping children safe online and in the real world

At Cardinal Newman School we are always reminding the children how they can keep themselves safe whether in the real world or in the virtual world. Class teachers regularly use the Zones of Regulation to assess how the children in their classes are feeling. Children are encouraged to share their worries using the ‘What I want my teacher to know boxes’ which are in each Key Stage 2 classrooms and the Worry Monsters which can be found in the Keys Stage 1 Classrooms.

Information to support parents can be found on the school website here.

Please continue to report any safeguarding concerns to Mr Flower (Designated Safeguarding Lead) or Mrs Burnham (Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead).
