On Wednesday 25th June, four members of our Year 4 Prayer Council had the special opportunity to travel to Arundel Cathedral to take part in our diocese’s Good Shepherd Celebration. They joined Bishop Richard and pupils from schools across the diocese to listen to the Word of God and celebrate their shared faith together. During the celebration, Cardinal Newman School proudly shared our Jubilee Pledge with Bishop Richard, affirming our commitment during this Jubilee Year to “building bridges of communication within and beyond our community of Learners, Believers and Friends.”

After the service, the children visited the shrine of St Philip Howard, the patron saint of our diocese, where they spent a quiet moment in prayer and reflection. Before returning home, they were delighted to meet Bishop Richard in person and capture a memorable photo with him.
