Learning Support

In line with our school mission statement, it is the aim of the school to provide the appropriate support to help all children. We fulfil our responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010 enabling all children to fulfil their potential in our community of Learners, Believers and Friends.

We believe in early identification so that a need can be addressed appropriately. Many children only need short term help. We assess children and learning programmes are designed to suit the need. Basic skills are reinforced and consolidated. Long term help is also provided for those who have significant or ongoing needs.

As well as Class Teachers we have a SENCO (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) and Learning Support Assistants. We can also seek advice from outside specialists.
