On Evacuee Day, Year 6 stepped back in time to explore what life was like for children during World War II. Dressed in period-style clothing, they took part in a series of immersive, hands‑on workshops, including making gas masks, cooking with rationed ingredients, and discovering what daily life looked like on the home front. The day ended with a walk to Hersham Station, giving pupils a sense of the journeys many evacuee children once had to make.
