We have so much to celebrate with the recent achievements of our Cardinal Newman Football Teams!

After a challenging season of tough fixtures, our Year 6 Boys Football Team finished at the top of their group, securing a spot in the semi-finals. With grit and determination, they battled hard and came through with a 4-1 victory! They then advanced to the finals, where they fought valiantly in a closely contested match. Despite their best efforts, they finished 2nd out of 14 teams—an incredible achievement!

Next up, the Girls' League Finals, where our talented squad also topped their group. In an intense showdown, they faced a strong opponent, ending regular play in a 2-2 draw after 50 minutes of thrilling football. With the game going to extra time, the battle continued until a dramatic penalty shootout—which they won! Weeks later, they faced the same team in the cup final, but this time, they left no room for doubt, delivering a dominant 6-1 victory!

A huge congratulations to all our players for your resilience, dedication, and respect throughout the season. You have demonstrated incredible teamwork and sportsmanship, and the whole school community is proud of your achievements!
