Year 4 - Hooke Court

Year 4 had an amazing time on their residential trip to Hooke Court in Dorset to become immersed in all things Roman.

During the action packed three days, the children visited a Roman town house in Dorchester, climbed Maiden Castle,  successfully completed Roman Soldier training - including how to march, attack and dress like a soldier. They cooked their own lunch using roman recipes, wrote their names, designed and made mosaics, crafted exquisite jewellery, wove fine cloths using traditional methods and explored the marvels of Roman engineering from aqueducts to onegars.
